So I was just driving to school listening to the radio and  on kluv radio station, they talked about something that really stood out to me.  They were talking about a father who had posted on his blog asking people to stop calling his daughter beautiful... I was just thinking "whaaa?" and "why?" They went on to explain that he wanted people to ask her instead "what clubs or sports are you in?", "how are you doing in school?", "what do you want to be when you grow up?' He wants to teach his daughter to value herself on who she is  and not what she looks like. That's what stood out to me the most. That's a heck of a father. These days, our society puts so much emphasis on outward beauty that its almost as if beauty=success, but I think inward beauty and who you are as a person is what makes you a successful human being. We need to start looking at what type of person we are becoming, not what type of face or body we want to have because no amount of makeup or clothes will be able to fix that.

So this post is gonna be way different than my first post because I'm going to talk about eating healthy. Me and my sister have proposed to make a lifestyle change and eat healthy foods, but people seem to take that as a new diet we are embarking on. It ticks me off because they say it like its a bad thing, and on top of that, we are eating healthier! which is DIFFERENT from a diet. Anyways, now that I've decided to eat better foods, I've been cooking a lot more often, which is good! It prepares me for college :) one thing that I made for dinner for my family and I were turkey burgers. They were so good I wasn't sure if they were even supposed to be healthy, but according to the recipe it was :) Perfect! I'll put actual recipes and step-by-step pics in future posts to share with you guys.
Well,  much people aren't really much for talking about religion. People get upset, hurt or angry. But I thought I'd talk about it for my first blog post. First off, I want to talk about atheist's or people of different religions. Something that bother's me is when other religions or atheists belittle my beliefs or don't have respect towards what I believe. There is a difference between having different views and attacking my beliefs, which I know for a fact will not waver. Not once in my life have I belittled someone else's religious views just so they will accept mine. Don't get me wrong, I'd love if everyone thought the same way I did or believed what I believe, but that is not the way to do it. Attack my beliefs and I will defend them.
